Established in 1993 as the Silver Bridle Community Centre, we have grown to become a much larger organisation, offering a range of community services, childrens services, youth options, Seniors services, and a wide range of support programmes.

In April 2012, the passing of our President of 10 years prompted a name change. Now known as the Lynne Richardson Community Centre, we carry on Lynne's mission, of "Creating the Community YOU want to live in".

The community centre now offers a wide range of services catering for a whole-of-life transition, including services aimed at toddlers, children, teens, Seniors, and everyone; open to all people from any background.

Lynne Richardson was the President of Silver Bridle Action Group from 2003 until February 2012, when she lost her two year battle with cancer. Lynne was a tireless community worker, advocate, and visionary, who spent most of her life working to improve the lives of those around her, in her family, in the community, around Australia, and the wider world.

In April 2012, Councillor Dawn Crichlow and the Gold Coast City Council named the centre in honour of Lynne, renaming Silver Bridle Community Centre to become the Lynne Richardson Community Centre.

Each time we answer the phone, we speak Lynne's name, and we continue her mission.
